David Trachsel appointed Counsel at Thouvenin

David Trachsel was appointed Counsel of our firm as of 1 January 2026.

He specializes in complex civil and commercial disputes before state courts and arbitral tribunals, with a particular focus on contractual, corporate and enforcement-related disputes.

His experience in particular covers post-M&A, joint venture and shareholder disputes as well as disputes in the insurance, sports and construction industry. In addition, he regularly represents clients in proceedings for interim measures, enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards and cross-border asset tracing. David Trachsel has a particular focus on bankruptcy and insolvency related litigation, on which he has written a doctoral thesis.
