Simon Hohler joins the partnership of Thouvenin
After more than eight years at Thouvenin, Simon Hohler joins the partnership of our law firm effective 1 January 2025.
Simon specializes in arbitration and commercial disputes before state courts and serves as an arbitrator.
His practice focuses on commercial disputes before arbitral tribunals and state courts as well as enforcement and mutual legal assistance proceedings. He has extensive experience in handling disputes in areas such as contract and commercial law, torts and insurance law, construction law, enforcement law, as well as disputes related to M&A transactions.
Simon has participated in numerous institutional arbitrations (e.g. Swiss Arbitration Centre, ICC, CAS and HKIAC) and ad hoc arbitrations where he acted as counsel or arbitrator (sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and chairman). He currently serves as Co-Chair of the ASA Local Group Central Switzerland.
He holds a law degree from the Universities of Lucerne and Neuchâtel and earned an LL.M. in International Business Regulation, Litigation and Arbitration from the New York University School of Law. Additionally, he graduated from the Swiss Arbitration Academy (Arbitration Practitioner, ArbP) and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb).
Simon is the head of our Zug office and also works in our Zurich office.
