Thouvenin Rechtsanwälte assists Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG in the sale of the Gallus Group
As part of a realignment, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, Heidelberg (Germany), sells the Gallus Group to the Swiss packaging group benpac holding ag. The Gallus Group comprises the two Swiss companies Gallus Holding AG, St. Gallen, and Gallus Ferd. Rüesch AG, St. Gallen. Thouvenin Rechtsanwälte assisted Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG in the transaction with regard to Swiss legal issues.
The Gallus Group develops, produces and sells conventional and digital narrow-web, reel-fed presses designed for the label and packaging business. The transaction will see benpac holding ag assume ownership of the Gallus Group with a total of five companies with sites in Germany and Switzerland and around 430 employees. It is planned to close the transaction still in 2020.
